The Spring 2021 program will begin March 14.  Games are held on Sundays at on of our Tierrasanta Fields

5U and 6U divisions games will take place on Sunday afternoon and will include a fun training session on Fridays given by our Master Coach

8U and up sessions will have a weekly game on Sunday afternoon and two training sessions run by our Matrix trainers during the week.
Training sessions are scheduled

Our Spring program is focused on player development with training sessions by age group.  Weekly games are meant to be fun with a focus on allowing players to try new skills, develop as a player and meet new friends.
Game format will be small sided which allows players to have increased time on the ball to enhance their development.  We hope to play regular soccer games this Spring but depending on Local and State Covid-19 requirements, we may play modified games set up like a human fooseball game.  Human fooseball is similar to soccer except there are grids painted on the field to encourage social distancing.
Teams will be formed based on registration and volunteer numbers and will likely be a jamboree format with team formation each week. Teams may be coed if numbers require.
What is Jamboree?
Jamboree is a format where teams are formed each week.
Why Jamboree?
There are many reasons for a Jamboree format in the Spring season
  • Player development - We want to offer all players training sessions given by our professional Matrix trainers in order to ensure the highest level of training.
  • Volunteers - Many of our volunteer coaches also volunteer in other community sports. Since spring is the main season for baseball, softball and basketball, it is a lot to ask the coaches to commit to two sports in the same season.  Our spring games are managed by regional volunteers and many of our Board members.
  • Small sided games - Small sided games(less players per side) allows players to have a greater involvement in the game.  More touches, more time on the ball means greater development.
  • Flexibility - We can accommodate a small or large number of players in each age group.  On game day, teams won't be short players or have so many that players are sitting on the sidelines.  This ensures every player gets to play all or most of the game.

Will my child enjoy jamboree?
The overwhelming response from previous years is that player have a great time.  They get to play soccer, have the opportunity to interact with all players in their age group, accelerate their soccer development due to the quality training opportunity, small sided games where they get to have many more touches on the ball and best of all, they have fun.
